Barn owl, need suggestions (1 Viewer)

Birding in Brazil
As some of you may know, I'm a complete newbie to drawing (my thing is photography). I did this barn owl yesterday and I think it's quite an advancement from my last drawings, but I'm unsure what scenery to do here. Maybe a continuation of the wooden posts to the back? Or just some tall grass behind it and a couple hills in a rural scenery?

Any suggestion (for the bird drawing too) is appreciated.

It looks like there are some grasses drawn in lightly in the background. Maybe use those and a bit of fog to add some depth. Looks great so far!

I think the drawing is really good. Perhaps anatomically the wings require a bit of tinkering, but overall the impression is definitely right - well done. I think the next step would be to make a painting, but begin with the intention of using colour. This will make you consider colour and tone at the very earliest stages and not as an afterthought. Look forward to seeing the next work.
