I have a pair of 10x42 DCF WP II that I bought in the US about 6 or so years ago.
One of the eyecups came adrift so I sent to the UK Pentax service agent in the hope of a warranty repair. I didn't have the original warranty card and I'm 99% sure it wasn't an international warranty, just one valid in the US.
It took them a while to get a new eyecup from Japan and for some reason that didn't fix the problem, so after talking with Pentax UK, they have sent me a brand new pair of bins.
I call that pretty excellent customer service.
