10/11/08 Pre-season trimming visit at site 2. Two nets erected just to see :) Many thanks to all concerned.

On Sunday we did our autumn partridge count. Very wet fields restricted the are we could cover. We found one covey of four - all adults, 2m, 2f. Harvest rcords showed we have a covey of 11, probably all adults; and a covey of 10, adult mf and 8 young. 2 Others seen at harvest are almost certainly now in the 4 seen today.
Total this year 25.

and loads of white hares sticking out like a sore thumb ! Generally a good scattering but one sheltered slope and many dozens - too busy to count them.
