Most of the content of Wassink & Oreel 2007 (The Birds of Kazakhstan) is now available on Arend Wassink's website, birdsofkazakhstan.com.

One limitation of this excellent book is that the subspecies distribution maps merely indicate the provinces in which breeding has been recorded. But the website has much-enhanced maps, showing seasonal ranges (including localised and occasional occurrence) and vagrant records.

The species accounts incorporate the updates published in Dutch Birding in the years since publication of the book, and it's planned to further develop the collection of photographs and audio files.

An invaluable resource for anyone interested in the birds of Central Asia!
