Late Lesser Scaup Question. Thorne UK (1 Viewer)

Hi all. Sorry I have not kept up with things lately but I have a few questions about the Lesser Scaup at Thorne Moors. I only heard about it today as I have had a hellish amount on over the winter period. I immediately went for a look and got the photos below.
So firstly, is this the bird? I think it is. Also does anyone know the outcome of the inquiry as to whether it is a definite hybrid or not as I heard it was still being discussed.
Whatever the outcome it was a very obliging bird as soon as it saw I had a sandwich it was over and nicking bits of it.
Cheers.
