There can be no better thrill living on the east coast than to watch the weather the previous night before heading off down the coast in search of migrants.
Heather the Weather(The bird on BBC Scotland who does the weather that is) predicted low cloud and mist, with rain thrown in. Whats more the winds were to the North, North East.
Perfect.
So todays tally is 1 male Red backed Shrike(dipped a female, will try for this Lothian plumage tick again tommorrow), 1 Wryneck, 1 female/immature Black Redstart, 3 Dotterel(present for their third day) and a flock of 30 Barnacle's heading north.
Ive sore feet and legs but I'm back out there again B tommorrow !
