Opticron imagic se 8x32 vs zeiss conquest 8x30? (1 Viewer)

Norfolkman gone walkabout
Anyone familiar with these two, and know how they might fare in a side by side comparison?

Although the opticron has better field of view and close focus I'd be interested to hear which has the edge as far as optics are concerned?

Matt, Kikkertspesialisten, in a review from May 2007, ranks the Conquest and the older version of the Imagic about equal. The Conquest is a little bit more contrasty, the Imagic has a little better edge performance. The Imagic has much better build quality (11 to 9). The two score equally in all other measures.

Thanks!!

Took me a while to find the link to the PDF but got there eventually!!! The latest 8x32 does look very tasty..even though I like 7x42's!!

Shame the 42 models have such a narrow field of view..even if they are a slight improvement on the old models..
