I'm in Northwester California about 100 miles south of the Oregon border. Logged my first rufous hummingbird of the 2007 season about 4:30 pm today, so you guys up north should see them soon. Let us know when they show up. Chris C. if you are still around, when did they pass throughTemecula?

Craig,

I am very envious of you. We used to live in California and looked forward to seeing the first rufous at our feeders.

We are anxiously anticipating seeing the only species of hummingbird to visit New Hampshire, the ruby-throated hummingbird. Unfortunately we will have to wait until mid to late April.
