Tree full of redwings?? (1 Viewer)

I just got home and checked the feeder in the garden when about 10 'thrush-type' birds swooped into the tree at the end of the garden. All sat towards the top of the tree and when I got the bins out for a better view I just about got a glimpse of a bright yellow stripe above the eye......before the buggers all flew off.
Any ideas what I might have seen - it was quite a spectacle while it lasted!

Yes I think they probably were as well. They are frequently in large flocks like this sometimes with a few Fieldfares with them too.

I live opposite fields but have never seen these before - strange really - as I havent seen any thrushes this year which is a bit of a worry.
