YEah its designed for astro work. WOnder if they could be persuaded to make a less powerful version? Although there are plenty versionsof this on the market.....

In my exp of using lens like this the optical quality of the image stays pretty sharp.

HOwever at 80x onwards the limiting factor is the stability of the tripod, and the air temp(heat shimmer)

AM sure this is worth trying out.....its cheaper than buying a TV powermate.

I have tried a 1.6 maginifier in my baader zoom and it was quite impressive, got a bit soft at 8mm but was still useable.
