A lot of birds can look like a piece of wood - I saw a Baillon's Crake once, but it wasn't one.

Goshawk?? (probably too small, I'd say Sparrowhawk but not sure if that is a 'good' bird (no disrespect to sparrowhawks intended ... )

Or a Pheasant I guess would be more easily confuasable with Hazelhen ..
