fledging robin in back yard (1 Viewer)

Hi,

There was a nest in my evergreen tree in my back yard. Two fledglings ended up in my yard 3 days ago. One flew into the neighbors yard, I found its body beside my house yesterday. The other fledgling is still in my yard, its parents are feeding it regularly. My question is should I open my back gate to let it leave? Or should I just leave it until It can fly over the fence?

Thanks

Since the parents are feeding it, I'd just leave the situation as it is. What caused the death of the other fledgling, do you know? If if was something specific to your yard, that might be another matter.
