Hi All.

My TCON 17, which I had for now 2 years, is now dead. Some optical elements got loose inside (I ve heard it is not an uncommon issue for that teleconverter). I was looking at BH photo, Adorama and Amazon and could not find any. Are they now discontinued?

Anyone know a good (or better?) alternative (without loosing f stops?) to this excellent teleconverter? My camera is a Pana fz28

Thanks

The Olympus 1.7X Tele Conversion lens fits to a Panasonic DMC FZ7 using a Panasonic DMW-LA2 lens adapter.

The lens at least is still available. This may be an option for your model.

I believe that is the TCON17. It's still available in the UK (on Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Olympus-Con...NR6A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321630164&sr=8-1). Alternatively, I really liked the 1.7x Panasonic teleconveter (DMW-LT55), which I think should fit the FZ28 with an adapter.

I bought a Panasonic DMW-LT55E and adapter for my wife's FZ150, which has a 52mm filter thread a couple of weeks ago from Warehouse Express.

EDIT. Just checked, it wasn't Warehouse Express this time, it was Cameraworld.
