We have spotted this bird the past few days on our birdbath. This a.m. I was able to capture it wiith my cell. I sent the photo to my computer and I have been trying to edit it to zoom in on the bird. The photo is not clear. it is much more distinct on my cell. Anyhow, I'm quite sure it is a Black-eyed Junco.

We are in North County, San Diego. We do see various birds. We are amazed. We just have a small yard and birdbath. Love watching the birds.

Actually, it's Spotted Towhee. They do look a bit like juncos, but are larger with white spots on the wings.

And welcome to Bird Forum. Glad to have you aboard and hope you stick around.

Thank you ! It really is beautiful! I was able to finally crop the photo and save it. I don't know that it's unusual, but to us it is. l will definitely come back.
