I had an American robin nesting in a hanging flower basket in a shed-like structure with no walls. She had laid four, healthy looking eggs, and they have finally hatched! Only two hatched that I know of so far. I arrived just to see one making its way out of the egg, the other already out. I have been waiting for 14-15 days and FIANLLY they have appeared. This may be a usual sight to you, but I have never had any type of bird nesting in my yard ;) Here are some pics:
