WOW!!! That is an unbelievable list for a city! how did you manage wallcreeper and boreal/tengmalms owl in bucharest! By suburbs, I mean about as far out from the centre of town as mogosoaia (which you should be familiar with ).

Today have found my first levant sparrowhawks (ever) in a park in bucharest, and found a nest. yesterday I saw 4+ birds near the same spot, which I couldn't ID properly (common/levant), so presumably they were the same adults and there young? Also, loads of golden orioles in the same park, making a lot of noise up in the trees.

following up on the levant sparrowhawks, yesterday I saw a male (after my first - which was a female), and then today I found 4 younger birds (spotted breasts) sitting in one tree - a great sight! so thats a minimum of six birds, so far...!

The levant sparrowhawk family:
1 - female
2,3 - male
4 - the 4 immatures

1 - alpine accentor, at poiana brasov ski resort, eating scraps at a restaurant on the slopes with 3 others.

2 - wallcreeper, same site as above on the building of a chalet - not shy at all!

3 - paddyfield warbler, in dry reedbeds at histria, near the black sea coast. they seemed very intrigued by me creeping through the reeds trying to get close to a flock of white pelicans. they seemed to be everywhere at this location.

4 - great black-headed / pallas's gull, at the plopul salt pan in dobrogea, one of three at this site, with 2 others seen elsewhere in dobrogea.

5 - collared pratincole, same site as above, where they were breeding with avocets and black-winged stilts.
