Message from son about mystery bird (1 Viewer)

Help! It looks like a kingfisher? but the size of a crow! it has an eye pattern on it's metallic blue wing - it has brown feathers it has a bald head well looks like it's been pecked, and is strong enough to steal an entire fat ball-(3 so far) what is it?

Site small garden 1/2mile from Southsea ferry terminal in Portsmouth.

It sounds like a Jay you have there, especially with the blue wing patch. Keep an eye on it and let us know how it gets on.
