Day trip-Khao Lak area Thailand (1 Viewer)

Bit of a long shot....but wondered if anyone in the Khao Lak area 29th, 30th, or 31st Oct this year? Looking for a day's birding in the area but having tried some of the guides, logistics and timings are not working out, so having to go solo (my wife is not a birder). Have also tried Thailand Birdwatching, but e-mails seemingly not getting through.
So just wondered if anyone out there similarly looking?
