Black Tern
Our first record where five birds on Swan Pool in May 1977 since then we have had 183 documented records but only 30 of these since 2000 today's bird is our first since a bird in May 2012

Black Tern 129 (127 & 128 disappeared!) didnt connect with the Wood Sand, only Common Sand. Will try tomorow if still there.

After careful consideration by Mike Ixer he believe's the bird he saw on the 15th April was in fact a Kittiwake has he originally thought

The Month had a fantastic last day with the first Wood Sandpiper since 1999 and the first Black Tern since 2012. The Month gave us 115 species with twenty one being year ticks :- Redshank, Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Common Sandpiper, Grasshopper Warbler, Ring Ouzel, Redstart, Kittiwake,Yellow Wagtail, Black Tailed Godwit, Lesser Whitethroat, Common Tern, Garden Warbler, Dunlin, Cuckoo, Swift, Whimbrel, Whinchat, Wood Sandpipier and Black Tern

Wood sandpiper, two common sandpipers and a summer dunlin present this morning in rain on rspb islands.

Managed to add two to my valley list, dunlin and wood sandpiper. Taking me to 114.
