I would go with the crowd on yellow as well, especially with the somewhat streaky belly. You're right, the shape is off, but I've seen 'em huddled/fluffed up like that before, especially when wet and/or cold. I've also seen juvenilles of other species do that, almost like they are not sure what to do with all the feathers...

Not necessarily. I see it in female, male, and juvenile female/male Yellow Warblers.

I agree about the shape. Maybe it is just the photograph, but it appears to be wet and overcast, which would explain why the bird is "huddled" up. :)
