Hello All from a newbie.
I live in the wilds of Mid Wales away from all the trappings of modern living so I'm surrounded by and up to my neck, in birds and all manner of furry and scaley wildlife!
I could never live anywhere else now as I've been spoilt.I live a bit of a way from Brecon which was awarded dark status? So I'm also blessed with being able to see clear starry skies at night when its not cloudy.I'm so glad that I found this forum as over the years Ive seen strange birds that I have not been able to trace in books. Its good to know that there are other like hearted people out there Hello!

Hi LadyintheWoods and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

My brother lives on the edge of the Brecons... the other side maybe from you, in Abergavenny. I've just had a month there staying with him, wandering up and down the canal!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you live in a great place for nature.

Hi LadyintheWoods and welcome to BirdForum. Brecon is not too far from me and we fairly often are in the area. Garwnant is great for Crossbills and Gurkha Corner is one of my favourite restaurants.
