True Katydid? (1 Viewer)

Well-known member
These were taken in Florida in Feb. 2013. I have tentatively id.'d it as a True Katydid. I've never seen one although have certainly heard many, many of them, usually high in trees. Where I have doubts is regarding the amount of veining on the wings, colour of the front legs and colour of the head. Can anyone help with this id.?
Thanks!

I would say that it is a True Katydid. Have a look for Pterophylla camellifolia.
