All,
I have ordered a Celestron Regal 80 F-ED spotting scope.
I think it weighs around 71oz.
I wanted some recommendations regarding what lighter weight tripod and head combination would be ideal for this scope on a budget of around $300 or less. This will be the primary tripod for the scope and it will be used for some shorter day trip hikes etc...
I have searched this forum and found a number of good comments about the Velbon's carbon tripods, but I've had a hard time finding the correct models for the U.S. as most of the comments were related to UK models.
