These birds were part of a flock of small birds feeding on Sagebrush (Artemesia tridentata) seeds on Hunter Mountain Road in Death Valley National Park. This area of the road is in the Cottonwood Mountains between Jackass Spring and Willow Spring. Image 1 contains different individuls from 2-4 which are all the same bird. A second posting will have two other individuals.
