Small caterpillar in Florida (1 Viewer)

A couple of days ago I photographed a small caterpillar (about 1.5 to 2 cm long) in the garden on a flower of a Red Spike bush. The usual means of identification did not work, I couldn't find anything like it in my field guides or in the Web. I sent the photos attached to this message to an specialist at our local natural history museum but have not received an answer yet. Thus I am posting here hoping that at least one of the readers knows what it is. Thanks!
