Id of a mouse (1 Viewer)

Not an expert on central American mammals but Scotinomys teguina or Scotinomys xerampelinus are the best candidates not sure if you can tell them apart.

Thank you both. With the Wiki descriptions of habitat, the second of the two seems a better choice.

I have had a confirmation of the second of the species mentioned, with the common name Chiriqui Singing Mouse. It has been seen and even caught at the location I saw this one.

This came through Mammalwatching, thanks for the proposal to contact them.
