Buzzard or Honey Buzzard? Chilham, Kent UK (1 Viewer)

My husband and I saw this raptor on Tuesday late morning flying back and forth over fields and woods at the edge of the fields south of the North Downs Way facing the A28 just East of Godmersham Park. The bird was silhouetted, flying back and forth at tree top height, so it was not possible to identify wing or tail markings. I think the head looked larger than a Honey Buzzard's, but the calling sounded like a Honey Buzzard. The wings were sometimes in a typical buteo fashion, with wing tips spread and slightly on the dihedral. Most of the time, the wings appeared long, narrow and straight.

The photos are captures from a video, so they need to be seen small to have any resolution. The sounds were best heard when I had the camera pointed at the woods. If needed, I can post the (not very good) video of the bird flying, which has a tiny bit of calling.

thank you for any help or thoughts.

Regarding the call - juv. Common Buzzards have a sort of creaky call, maybe that is what you heard. Can't see a Honey on your photos sorry, agree with CB.

Thank you, everyone for your quick responses. Simon, I particularly appreciate your info on the call. Although Buzzards may be the most common raptor in the UK now, I am still very happy with our sighting, as it was so beautiful to watch and a first for us in our neighbourhood. Happy Birding everyone.
