April Competition entry # 2

Red-winged Blackbird male

Try as I might, I could not "find" a bird perched clear of clutter!

Found this subject at the edge of the swamp, waited for him to turn and display, but he was not cooperative at all.

My second entry and he "moons" me besides!

April Comp - Acorn Woodpecker - 2nd entry

This photo was taken on April 10th, 2003 at the feeding station in the Davis Mountains State Park, near Fort Davis, W. Texas. We were waiting for the morning visit of the Montezuma Quail, which are a speciality of this park - a pair did arrive a few minutes later, but neither perched on anything!

Set on automatic at full 10x zoom.
