We have reservations to stay at Rancho Naturalista. Is it really as terrible as some are saying?

Hi AlanAlan

The only "some" so far is one disgruntled ex-empoyee. My friend was there a few months ago and had a great time. I have been there twice (but not for some years) it and the nearby valley were great. Apart from two breakfasts from the balcony and one day on the property generally, I spent most of my time using the lodge as a base for other locations (e.g., Braulio, Tapanti).

You could also email the lodge directly with any concerns via their web site.
