With the population in Kent/Sussex increasing rapidly and with further populations in Dorset and Herefordshire it seems likely that the wild boar will spread throughout england again

What do people think about this? and has anyone seen a wild boar in England?

It's a good thing. They fill the ecological niche left vacant by their previous demise, so no problems with them being 'alien'.

I once bumped into a pair of them (almost literally) in the dusk in a wood in Kent when out looking for Nightjars. Almost soiled myself with surprise at the size of them and how close they were. I don't think they were too impressed either, and went barrelling away through the undergrowth at great speed.
