I lost the loose effect on this one again - I think it's because the details in the feathers get me antzy which also makes me go for realism which isn't my forte :-C oh well, all I can do is to keep trying

Sue, nice job! When I used to live in Kenora, we had lots of flickers around. Not many around here, though. So you're already done with your "F" bird! I haven't yet (but "G" is done, just 'cause it looked like fun). Thought of doing a flicker, but chose finch instead. Flickers looked more difficult.
 
Hi Lynn - I'm working ahead 'cause I have 2 painting groups a week and these are portable!
I'll have to wait and see your finch - the people in this challenge are REALLY stepping up aren't they?
