Gull, Dundee, Scotland

While at Riverside Nature Park, Dundee today I spotted a gull which looked unusual to me. It appeared slightly larger/bulkier than at least a few of the Herring Gulls around and seemed marginally paler on the wings/back than a Lesser Black Backed Gull, had streaking on the head, the bill appeared mostly dark - though small areas of yellow and possibly red can just about be made out in the photos, and it had pale pink-ish legs. The tail had black sides but was white in the centre.

I suspect it is just a Lesser Black Backed Gull moulting into winter plumage (maybe 3CY bird?), but I thought I'd double check here, just in case it is something a bit more exotic, even though this is probably just wishful thinking. I don't see many LBBGs in winter plumage, if any, here on the east coast of Scotland, and have certainly never noticed any with the combination of features that this bird had before around here.

Any help gratefully received, as always.

A few more pics....

I do have others which need resizing, if these aren't sufficient for an ID, including a full upper wing spread, but hopefully these will do the trick.
