Confirm female Common Whitethroat please - London UK (1 Viewer)

ChrisKten

It's true, I quite like Pigeons
I don't see many of the females, though I see plenty of males. I'm never confident of the ID when I see these, so I think it best to confirm it.

It can't be much else; maybe a juvenile Common Whitethroat or a Garden Warbler. But the brown on the wings makes me think Common Whitethroat.

Oh, and yes before someone picks up on it, loads of posts, but has no relevance whatsoever; it's about what you post, not how often, and I'm not even a proper "Birder" ;)

Thanks

Iris colour and fluffy head/underparts make it look juvenile to me.

Although it's easy to watch one bird and photograph another by accident (I've done it before ;) ) this bird was taking food to the nest, so I'd favour an adult female.
