I saw my first ruby-throat since they passed through Spring Branch, Texas on their way north. Unmistakable flash of red gorget reflecting the setting sun.

Male ruby-throated hummingbird

Today I finally got a good shot of the interloper among my resident black-chinned hummingbirds.
