Dear all
We involved with these sentences in a new report which we want to write now. Actually, there are no any evidence for Siberian Gull flyway for Iran/Persian Gulf. I think we could not mention the Finland as a destination for summering area for wintering gull. We say welcome to your great idea:

The Siberian Gull is a migratory species, migrating every autumn from the tundra of northern Russia and Finland to Hera wetlands (Persian Gulf) in southern Iran and remaining throughout the winter.

The best,
Mahmoud

Mahmoud,

My understanding is that Larus (fuscus) heuglini Heuglin's/Siberian Gull is probably only a very scarce visitor to Finland - eg, Eskelin & Pursiainen 1998 (The status of 'Lesser Black-backed Gulls' of heuglini, graellsii and intermedius type in Finland. Alula 4(2): 42-54), Malling Olsen & Larsson 2003/2004 (Gulls of Europe, Asia and North America).

But Finnish members can hopefully give a more accurate and up-to-date picture...
