Could someone please tell me what is known about the usual delay for the females to return, as opposed to the males?
I am wondering because I have at least 2 males that came back to our site over a month ago, but I haven't seen a female yet.

Interesting. I saw females within days after males.

Well, it took that long, but we finally have at least one female too. What a relief! I was getting worried that we would only be hosting a couple of grumpy old bachelors here this year....

In fact, I was lucky yesterday to witness one of the males performing his silly courtship flight (diving down at full speed and back up, and again in the other direction, like a pendulum). So, we will for sure get so see some youngsters again this year. Yeah!

Now, if I could only spot one of the nests....
