Hello,

Anyone have compared this two scopes, the Kowa 501 20-40X 50mm versus the Vortes 15-45X-65mm?

I've looked in a Kowa TS-501 and it was not something I would recommend. No experience with Vortex scopes.

You are in the right ballpark with the zooms. Others will offer built in 20-60x zooms on a 65mm scope, but it is only good for up to 45x.

Have not seen the Vortex scope, but we have some owners here. Seems good value for what you get. Don't expect "near alpha".
