birding Morocco and the Canaries (1 Viewer)

In January we will be cruising to Morocco (Casablanca and Agadir) and the Canary Islands (Las Palmas). I would appreciate any tips on guides and birding locations for those destinations. In Morocco I have followed some leads but am getting little or no response. In Las Palmas I am finding very little. I am considering just hiring cabs at the port but would prefer an English-speaking bird guide who might be more reliable than a cab driver. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Shorefolks, both are great destinations for birding - exotic, scenic and with some special birds.
I'll send you a PM.
Cheers.

check go-south.org for trip reports and up to date info on morocco. also gosney does several good guides for specific species in morocco, and bergiers is more general, and probably better if you want to know whats in ther region rather than specific sites for specific birds
