Hi everyone i am wanting opinions on camcorders with nightshot on them, i know sony used to include it all the time on there older models, BUT are there any of the new up to date camcorders offering night shot? I am primarily thinking about filming badgers, i am taking stills of them with a sony 707, but would like the video side too, So opinions are welcomed on old and new.
Thanks all in advance.

Sony HDRXR520VE & Sony HDRXR550VEB do and also have viewfinders as well, however, we are talking four figure sums and if you want to waterproof them then you end up having to add the Sport housing, add the necessary infra red lighting and it isn't going to be cheap.

You should find confirmation on the Sony web site.

The older 520 is probably your best bet as it has a longer lens and to date is the only one I have used outdoors at night - both can take conversion lenses.

So far I have excellent night time shots of my dogs but no nocturnal wild life.
