I'm off to Slovenia and Croatia (Istrian Peninsular) for a short trip at the end of the month and trying to gen up as best as I can in the short time before I go.
Does anyone know if there are any reliable sites to look for Brown Bears in Slovenia?
I'm also hoping to be able to find an Olm in one of the Slovenian caves and once again i'd appreciate help in finding a suitable site. I know they can be seen on the tour of the Skocjan caves but the impression I get is that they are housed in an aquarium. Obviously I was hoping to view a wild one.
Any further info on general wildlife from these two countries would also be gratefully received.
