Two Birds of Prey (1 Viewer)

I recently came across these two in Tallahassee, Florida. I am not sure of what they are. Any help?

I think the first is possibly a Red Tail and the second I am sure is Red shouldered

Agreed!
Although you're supposed to look for 3 positive marks the "belly band" on #1 is enough to say RTH. Sometimes it's hard enough to find one mark when they are just sitting around. The second is a nice classic shot of a mature RS, although it isn't as pale as the typical South Florida RS. I'll go out on a limb like the bird and guess that the picture was taken in North Florida.

addendum:
I should read more carefully. I didn't have to go out too far on that limb. Tallahassee is "way up North" as the song goes.

Definitely an immature redtail hawk and an adult red-shoulder. The light-colored eyes and chocolate color and teardrop-shaped belly-band are dead giveaways on the redtail. And the dark eyes combined with the rusty horizontal barred chest on the redshoulder are the main clues.

Thanks guys. I am trying to learn to identify the different types but sometimes it get kind of tricky. And yes, north Florida is where they were taken.
