Hi

My wife is looking for one of these for her birthday and I'm a bit baffled. I use a Mac and don't have windows so whatever we get needs to be compatible with Mac OSX for recording etc.

Can anyone recommend a good starter kit to include night vision? I have a budget up to £100 but I suppose if something sensational was a little more I'd consider it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Most nest box cameras are designed to be plugged straight into a TV rather than into a computer. You can buy USB adapters to port the video into a computer but there is a loss of quality. Some companies have started to put network ip cameras into nest boxes. These use your WiFi to carry the signal so are independent of computer OS, you can even check on your nest box from the other side of the world. The disadvantage is they cost a lot more than £100!
