I was out birding (to see Long-tailed Duck, actually) on the
Danube in northern Budapest this afternoon, and saw this
Gull amongst the many Black-headed and few Common Gulls.
I take it to be a 2nd Winter bird - either Caspian Gull (Larus
cachinans) or Yellow-legged Gull (L. michahelis).
Can anyone give pointers which might say which species it is?
Thanks for any help in advance
