Carmel River State Beach and Lagoon. Is there anything I need to know to visit this place? It looks pretty swampy, how accessible is it? Am I going to wish I had some hip waders?

Elkhorn Slough? Best way to tackle that? Low tide? Receding high tide? Park at the Foundation?

What am I not asking that I should be?
