Hello!

Need help with ID of 2 strange (from my diletant point of view) birds from Chua Binh Son Environs, Binh Thuan (Vietnam). Met them on 23/10/2015. The first one resembles Sturnia sinensis but lacks white patches on wings. The second is big gray-black with orange bill and white patches on wings. Both were flying with Sturnia sinensis, Gracupica nigricollis and Acridotheres burmannicus.

Here is the link to eBird checklist with photos (please scroll down a bit in the opened window)

Thanks!
Andrey

Definitely a juvenile sinensis. They have very reduced white in the wing, often completely lacking in juvenile plumage. The tail pattern, size and grey bill remain distinctive.

Second bird is definitely a Myna. It looks like a 'black' myna rather than common to me, in worn juvenile plumage so looking rather faded and brownish. Maybe a juvenile Great Myna, judging by the bright bill and broad white tip to tail?
