I'm struggling to identify this bird although I feel I should know what it is.
I photographed it in an area where Russet-backed Oropendola and Yellow-rumped Cacique were common. I thought it might be a juvenile of one of those species but I can't equate it with photos on the internet.
Once again I should really appreciate some help. Someone please put me out of my misery!

I know why I feel I should know this one. It reminds me very much of a barbet. I may be way out but I thought I'd be bold and declare what I was thinking.

Bill doesn't seem right for an Icterid, looks more like a Mynah?

Exactly what I thought when I saw it. Assuming provenance is correct, can't be a mynah. Is closer to the cacique but even juvenile would have a more slender bill (in other respects fairly similar to the OP's photo). Haven't checked other possibilities, except definitely not the oropendula

The bird was photographed in the grounds of Napo Wildlife Center, Yasuni National Park, Ecuador.
I have a second photo of the bird which unfortunately is out of focus. I have uploaded it nonetheless as it gives a good indication as to the width of the beak.
