My first reaction seeing this bird was Chickadee but it seemed different so I took 2 shots and these are what I got. Doesn't seem to fit Black-and-White or Blackpoll warbler so perhaps a subadult?

Hi River Girl-

Nice Black&White - Blackpoll doesn't have the white central crown stripe, nor the neat black centres on the undertail coverts.

I think you're right about it being a sub-adult - the fact that the throat is black, but with a bit of white mixed in, leads me to believe this is a second-year male.
