Dear Birders,

With your expert knowledge, do you think this is a hybrid Clay-colored

Sparrow?

I would have said just plain Clay-colored (still a nice bird in New York!). What do you think it's hybridized with and do you mind saying why?
 
I'd say w/o that dark stripe behind its eye, that it is probably an immature Clay-colored Sparrow.

Many years ago, I found the first one to be seen here in Myrtle Beach ;)
