hi i tried to post a photo but the image file was to large 1600x1200 in photoshop how do i bring it down to about 800x800 for posting.

It depends a bit on what version of Photoshop you have but I would do it like this:

Use Image, Resize to change the pixels size to 800 x 600.

Then use File, save for Web and adjust the quality to reduce the file size to an acceptable figure.

In Photoshop 7, for example, both actions can be done in the File, save for Web option.

There is another way...
If you have XP, you can right click on the file in Explorer and select "Send to" "Mail Recipient" and XP will automagically ask you if you want to resize the photo ! Weird huh?
Choose the "more options" link and select the one you want (800x600 e.g.) anmd Away ya go.
