Cirl buntings in Cornwall?? (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I'm off to Cornwall next month and was wondering if anyone new where I can find "Cornish" Cirl buntings? I do realsie this is a sensitive area, you were all very kind in telling me about Ptarmigans on Glenshee Which I ticked this year, I have seen Cirls many times in Devon but thought it might be nice to see them in another County in England
if you don't want to broadcast it then here is my email
[email protected]

anyway many thanks

Brian

This is still are a very sensitive species in the county, so I wouldn't want to see any details of the locations of wild or reintroduced birds publicised. The best chance of seeing Cirl Buntings in Cornwall is outside of the breeding season at Rame Head, though this is still a rather slim chance. More details on the reintroduction programme are online at:

Sorry to not be more helpful, but I'm sure you understand our reasoning.
